We’re looking for an experienced Producer to work across our evening programming on the Heart Network and our programming on Heart extra. You’ll need to have a proven track record working with on air presenters, have a strong creative flair, understand what makes great content and you must be able to produce a show on multiple platforms.


What will you be doing

You’ll be a producer of the weekday evening output for the Heart Network, working closely with the presentation team on content ideas and execution and you will also assist with the programming, automation and smooth running of Heart’s national D1 station, Heart extra.

You'll be instrumental in helping to deliver the Heart network's social media and digital strategy. You'll totally get how to create content in digital spaces and obsess about new creative ideas that will live online and drive audience into the network.

You’ll have strong organisational skills and so be able to plan and produce to the highest possible level in terms of quality and audience. You’ll also know how to exploit content and be able to develop stories that will create unique PR opportunities for the shows in every space.

You’ll know the Heart brand, and what our target (25-44) audience likes, their music preferences, their lifestyle choices and you’ll be able to combine that with production elements.


What we expect of you

You’ll have impeccable talent management skills, and experience of show producing and working with talent.

Strong ability in audio both audio and video editing and plenty of experience working with website content management systems.

Creatively, you will need to be able to contribute towards Commercial Programming ideas and then be fully able to implement and communicate this activity to the production team.

An excellent script-writer, developing content for the on-air teams and able to produce a show on multiple platforms, including (but not limited to) online, social media, video and radio.

You’ll ensure that you and your presenters are always up to date with OFCOM regulations, case history and media law, intervening as and when you think there may be an issue but also know when to ask for help when you’re not sure.

You’ll be confident when working towards your own personal objectives as well as helping others in achieving business goals, regularly setting and stretching new standards and expectations.
