We're Forces Radio BFBS, providing audio and digital content to British military communities across a range of locations at national and local level in the UK and also overseas.

We're looking for a dynamic, ideas-led Content Manager to join the team based in Buckinghamshire.

If successful, you’ll share responsibility across a portfolio of broadcast radio stations as well as voice, web & social channels and will likely already have experience in a multi-media management role. You'll be an exceptional communicator, a team player and equally at home inspiring and developing a team of music sequence presenters and speech broadcasters as you will in leading the creation of compelling, shareable web and social media content.

Your role(s) to date will have given you experience of growing audiences and you'll have plenty of ideas about developing and enhancing brand presence.  You'll be able to create schedules, manage near and remote teams and show success in the development of programmes and presenters.  You'll ideally also have experience of Ofcom legislation, rights management and successful podcasting initiatives.

Reviewing research, analytics and data to assist with decision making will be second nature.

Although the role does not require a daily broadcasting commitment, you'll have first-hand experience in music sequence presentation and audio speech production from which to draw.  An understanding of niche audiences and of marketing and promoting content across a range of platforms / outlets would also be useful.

Expect a full on, full time role, requiring regular, short-term travel in the UK and overseas and an obligation to go the extra mile in order to super-serve our extraordinary audience.  In return, we'll give you the freedom to experiment creatively across broadcast and on-line platforms and to play a part in our business development and digital strategy.

This is a permanent staff post with a fully mobile contract clause, which could see you take your skills to other locations within the BFBS network in the future.
